One of the first steps in creating your automated affiliate website is registering a
domain name. A domain name is simply the address to which your website resides.
example: www.mywebsite.com. Godaddy.com is the number 1 domain registrar and
they are the one I recommend and personally use for all my domain names. Their pricing
and support are solid. You want a domain name that is short, memorable and somewhat “brandable”.
If you like golf and your new affiliate store is going to offer golfing equipment you
would want a domain that has golf as a keyword. Head over to Godaddy.com and do
some quick searches on some ideas you may have for your first store. Prices range from
0.99 cents to $11.99 or so. This is for a year which is really cheap for starting out. You can
lower the amount by extending the year however I would just do 1 year to start.
Listed below is a great video Godaddy put together explaining more about what a domain name is.
